Episode 5 of a 50-part documentary by Ford Bold Moves this episode introduces the 2007 Shleby GT500 to the press. Donald Sherman, journalist for Automobile Magazine, takes the wheel of the Shelby GT500 at Ford’s Proving Grounds in Michigan to put the Shelby GT500 to the test on the track.

“You can’t mistake this for any other car in the world.”, according to Doug Gaffka, the chief designer of the 2007 Shleby GT500. A one of a kind car for $43,000 that produces 500HP and 475TQ? What more can you ask for?
Shelby GT500.

Sherman rips through the Proving Grounds while pushing the GT500 to it’s limit through the turns. Who said drifting was only for the imports? After tearing up the Proving Grounds he heads out to the street to get that everday driving experience, if by everyday driving experience you mean 140 miles per hour while wearing a helmet.

We look forward to seeing the rest of the episodes that Ford Bold Moves releases in the coming months as they continue to promote the Shelby GT500 and try to breathe new life into the Ford Motor Company.
