No doubt a part of Ford’s Bold Moves advertising campaign, these billboards depicting a blurred background with a running pony and the words “Mustang” below it are sure to grab your attention as you drive down the road. However whether or not you can make out what the point of it is and what they want you to buy is debatable. Some people don’t get that the blurred background, created by using a semi-transparent resin substance, is suppose to recreate the effect of speed you would feel driving a Mustang. On top of some people not understanding what it is the running pony is small and hard to notice for someone driving down the road. The point is to be able to get your point across quickly as drivers don’t have time to sit and examine a billboard to try to grasp the meaning of it. Regardless of whether this has any impact on consumers the blurred background is still pretty sweet. Check out the pictures below.

Update: Ford’s email back to me reveals this is not part of Ford’s doing and that they believe the billboards to be user generated with an image editing program.
