Aftermarket Mustang Retractable HardTop Developed
The Retractable Hardtop Mustang has come up in the past on our forums when a member posted a CDC prototype along with the videos of the concept in action. Now the Times of Malta has run a story about Peter Muscat, who plans to send a finished prototype to the United States. His Plans also include four more prototypes and five-hundred units a year for the next six years. The retractable power roof is released by a handle and then the rest is all automatic. It takes 30 seconds to fully retract, although an upgrade will cut off another seven seconds, and it won’t utilize any space in the trunk.
So far it does not look like Ford is considering it for a factory option as Autoblog has reported, but they state that they are always investigating new features and special editions to help feed the Mustang enthusiast desire for more. Well we have a few desires of our own Ford.
