Mysterious Mustang GT Spotted
Posted on May 22nd, 2007 by Brent Wilson and viewed 362 times
Ford isn’t talking about this mysterious Mustang that was spotted outside of Detroit by Popular Mechanics. The Mustang features a red currently not offered by Ford on the S197 Mustangs, Bullitt style wheels with a chrome lip and to top it off a very stylish taped up center piece on the trunk. One has to wonder what else is different under the hood to deserve such special treatment. We’ll keep you posted if any new information surfaces. Pictures after the fold.

I don’t think it is the Bullitt. It would be the green color if it was.

I’m with nater. Either that or they are testing out the parts on the Bullitt on that car.

Well it doesn’t look like it is going to be the Bullitt.

ok in 2001 they had the standard green, black, and then TRUE BLUE. now this might replace the blue they had in 2001 because they seem to sell more reds mustangs than any other color and from the no fog light grill the bullitt rims and the covering of the center piece i have no doubt that its a bullitt

Is it just me or does the rear of the car kinda look like a fastback? Looks longer on the rear window.

I would think that if it was the bullit, using bullit green on the test car would be a DEAD givaway, hence the offbeat red…
however so would the rims, and the tailpipes aren’t bullit styled like the SN95

It would be awesome if that was just some random guy’s car, haha.

Exactly silverstang. That’s what I was hinting at.

The previous version was all hype and little delivered. I hope they actually put some extra hp/tq out in the next generation (which they said they would never build…)

lol kinda like the “extra” hp/tq that the put into the Shelby GT? pay us $10+ grand more and we’ll give you a body kit and a a cai…Did anyone else noticed that the exhaust tips are straight cut? they don’t have the slanted tips like the current mustangs do….

Yup, magnaflow exhaust?? I know that how they typically do their tips.
