The Saleen 550 is a tribute to Steve Saleen’s involvement in the development of the Ford GT. The Saleen 550 is based on their 550 Horsepower Saleen S281 Extreme Edition and is only available to those lucky enough to own the Ford GT. The Saleen 550 is meant to be the daily driver for those who want a bit more trunk space and ground clearance than their Ford GT affords them. The cars will be painted to match the buyers’ GTs.
