Shelby GT500KR Mule Pictures / New Power Rating
Ford has released a few pictures of a mule of the upcoming Shelby GT500KR (King of the Road). These pictures come after Carroll Shelby visted Ford’s Dearborn Proving Grounds (DDC) this past Friday and issued a correction to the actual horsepower of the GT500KR which is now estimated to be at 550, up from the 540 they announced in New York. As many of you may remember the same thing happened with the Shelby GT500 when it was being developed. The first horsepower estimates were 450+, then 475 and finally when released the actual horsepower rating was 500. With the Camaro coming out soon one can only figure early estimates released to the media will be in an effort to keep their competitors guessing.
