Shelby Confirms GT500 For Next Body Style
The Shelby GT500 will be sticking around for quite sometime according to Amy Boylan, President of Shelby Automotive Inc. She stated the GT500 will run “well into the next body style”. The Ford Mustang is expected to receive a modest face lift and power increase in 2010. Dealer markups should slowly start to decline now that dealerships can not market the GT500’s as limited edition, limited run Mustangs. Those wanting the 2008 Shelby GT500 should find the price tag much more reasonable as well.

I would rather own a new Camaro than a new Shelby Mustang. Way to go Ford, piss off John Coletti and Jack Roush and bring back Carroll Shelby, someone who left you years ago.

What really bothers me about all of this is that SVT was royally screwed, and it seems, will continue to be screwed. I am all for a Carrol Shelby Mustang, but let his company do something same as Coletti, Roush, Saleen, ect. Give the credit where it is due, to SVT, and bring back the Cobra.
