Knight Rider KITT Mustang? Who Knows…..
Rumors and Mustangs are no stranger to each other. The latest being that the Roush BlackJack Mustang may be KITT in the new Knight Rider TV show, according to someone who has close ties with the current production of the pilot. The guys over at Jalopnik have a nifty little shop of the BlackJack Mustang made up to resemble KITT. Hell it looks good to us. They promise to keep digging deeper to see what they come up with. We’ll also be keeping our eye out on anything related to this as well. See the image after the fold.
Update: The Shelby GT500KR has been confirmed as the KITT Mustang. More info here.

While the idea to bring back Knight Rider MIGHT be cool, I really don’t want to see a Mustang as KITT because there’s some thing that you just don’t fuck with.
That would be like replacing the General Lee with a Corvette…. What? NO!

1. I don’t think that this is going to take very well as a movie
2. You can’t change KITT from the firebird to the mustang. Yeah it looks good but you just ruin the whole original series with a totally different car. It would have been sweet if there was an actual firebird coming out to go with the muscle car thing right now. That would be a cool car to use.

Well in the late 90’s they had TKR or Team Knight Rider guess what no Pontiacts there and yes there was a convertable Mustang.
