ROUSH & Ford Sued Over 2008 Roush BlackJack Mustang
ROUSH released the ROUSH BlackJack Mustang in 2007 with an intended production of 100. This was suppose to be the only year that the ROUSH BlackJack Mustang was to be produced but citing demand ROUSH went ahead and produced 100 additional BlackJacks in 2008. This has now become the issue surrounding a class action lawsuit filed by Drew Conner who bought Blackjack number two, spending almost $59,000.
Drew is asking for class action status and a jury trial. He is seeking $12 Million in damages which may sound like a lot but he currently has over 100 BlackJack owners signed up for the lawsuit meaning that each would get around $120,000 if the jury sided with them. This sounds more reasonable, considering the amount of money a car like this could lose by having it’s rarity diluted.

This is by far my favorite mustang , i can understand their frusteration but this is the car that should be driven not sitting in a garage because of its value.

It is sad… but Ford has done this before… they will do it again. Its not like that car is going to go up in value anytime soon anyway.

I think he really has no grounds for it. I think he just wants a refund because the car wasn’t what he thought it would be. In the wise words of a good man, “Cars are meant to be driven, not to collect dust in a garage or museum.”
