Death Race, which is set to come out in theaters August 22, looks to be yet another great movie starring Jason Statham and not only because it features a wild 2006 Mustang GT that has been given the name Frankenstein’s Monster. The plot has Statham, an ex-con, fighting for his life after the warden forces him to compete in our post-industrial world’s most popular sport, a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.

Saw the preview for this about a month ago on my birthday when I went to see Hellboy 2. Told my fiance as soon as the preview ended this would be my new favorite movie. Ever. From everything I’ve read and heard I won’t be let down. I pray I won’t be let down.

Looks to be on par with Stathams other movies (think Transporter, War, etc). Should be a decent action flick with a bunch of over-exaggerated situations. i hope its super cheesy and totally unrealistic, with lots of action, explosions and violence.

I knew I say a Mustang in there. I think I saw a charger also.

No Charger, it was a Chrysler 300. Same difference, I know…
