The ‘Next Chapter In The Mustang Story’
Mark Fields dropped a hint during the 2010 Mustang reveal in Santa Monica last week that Ford would “reveal yet another chapter in the Mustang story” at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. One would think that such a hint would lean toward a new Mustang being offered in 2010.
Obviously the first thing that comes to the minds of many when they hear ‘New Mustang’ is a Boss Mustang. It’s been a hot topic over the last few years and something people clearly want to see in their driveway. The rumors that the 5.0 engine is going to make an appearance further fuels the idea that a Boss Mustang of some sort will be revealed to use in January. Another possible option is a Mach 1 being brought back. It was one of the hottest cars of the 2003 and 2004 years and still demands a healthy asking price nearly 5 years after the last one rolled off the assembly line. I couldn’t help but notice that one of the displays used in the 2010 Mustang reveal had a shaker hood on it either. Was that a subtle hint?
Is this a sign of things to come?

We look forward to seeing what Ford has up it’s sleeve in January. The 2010 Mustang is a success in my opinion and a nice new Mustang model to compliment it would surely boost sales for Ford.
