2011 Mustang To Get 5.0 V8 Engine

Ford really has a hard time keeping secrets. It was just yesterday we posted up a poll asking you what the big surprise was that Ford was going to reveal about the Mustang later this year and now it seems like we have that answer. According to PickUpTrucks.com the 2011 Mustang will get the same engine as the 2011 Ford F150, a 5.0 V8 dubbed ‘Coyote’. The V8 will put out 400HP in the F150, which we can only assume will be the same in the Mustang. If not exactly, it will be very close. This is great news for those of us that shook our heads at the 2010 Mustang’s lack of horsepower change over the 2009 model.

I really hope this is true, if so it will be a great addition for only 302 CI to put down 400hp.
