2000 Cobra R To Be Auctioned At Barrett-Jackson

Ford Motor Company will be auctioning off a 2000 Cobra R at the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Las Vegas. The third Mustang SVT Cobra R, it was produced in a 300-unit run. It came with a 386-horsepower, 5.4-liter DOHC V-8 mated to Mustang’s first ever six-speed transmission. The Cobra ‘R’ will be in lot #406 and will be auctioned Friday, October 9th. Both cars in the auction are flawed. The privately owned one has air bubbles forming in the paint on the hood, and the second one owned by FoMoCo and SVT needed a full repaint…

The Cobra R isn’t flawed for needing a repaint in my opinion.

Well, I guess not “flawed”, but it’s not original…though I’m sure it’ll still sell for a ton of money, regardless of condition.
