2003 Deep Dish Cobra Rims Released

As many of you know the 2003 SVT Cobra wheels are some of the most popular style of Mustang wheels out there. For quite some time many owners have been asking for different sizes and a deep dish option for these wheels. Some companies came through, but only offered the OEM style wheel that is simply larger in width or in an 18 inch version vs the stock 17s. This leaves those who want a deep dish rim but love the style of the 2003 Cobra rims out in the cold.

John Kaase Reveals Boss Nine 589ci 2008 Ford Mustang

The Boss Mustang is easily one of the most popular Ford Mustangs that have ever rolled off the assembly line. You see it with the constant rumors that Ford is going to bring it back only to have them crushed by high gas prices and a slumping economy. That doesn’t stop people from taking matters into their own hands though and resurrecting the Boss Mustang via aftermarket means. This is what John Kaase has done with his 2008 Mustang. With over 800 ft-lbs of torque and over 900 horsepower, there is no denying that this Mustang means business.

2005-2009 Mustang ‘Glass’ Hood

Feel like that supercharger under your hood isn’t getting the notice you want? Hillbank Motorsports took this into consideration when they developed their latest product for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang, a clear hood. The hood is positioned directly in the center and reveals quite a bit of your engine bay not making it a very ideal purchase for those of us that don’t give the engine bay the attention it deserves when we wash our Mustangs. 80MPG 1987 Ford Mustang Produces 400 Horsepower

Maybe Ford should take a look at Doug Pelmear’s 1987 Ford Mustang before the 2010 Mustang rolls off the assembly line. According to him he has been able to re-engineer his Mustangs engine to produce 400 Horsepower and 500 Torque while improving his gas mileage to an astounding 80 Miles per gallon. He created the car to compete in the $10 million Progressive Automotive X Prize which is a “race” to find an affordable, marketable automobile that gets at least 100 miles per gallon, or its equivalent. 2005 Mustang Sports V12 Aston Martin Vanquish Engine

One has to wonder what fans of the Aston Martin Vanquish have to say about having the powerful V12 finding a home under the hood of a Ford Mustang, though I have to admit it does look kind of cool seeing the 460HP/400TQ engine powering a S197 Mustang. We use those power numbers lightly as they are only the stock numbers for the base V12. The engine that presides in the 2005 Mustang has had “some work” done to it. You can check out the video of the engine in action after the fold as well as pictures and specifications for the V12 Mustang.

More Ignorance: Top Gear Calls Shelby GT A GT500

You might recall that just two days ago we highlighted an instance of Top Gear incorrectly labeling a V6 Mustang as a GT Mustang. How is it that you get something so simple so wrong…. twice? Well, regardless of how it happens it has happened again as Top Gear has labeled a Shelby GT as a Shelby GT500. You can watch the video after the fold as well as get the contact information to the complaints department of Top Gear to send them your thoughts.

On the ECTA’s 1mile x 30ft abandoned runway track, Robert is looking to hit a cool 200-210MPH in his Ford GT and have room to stop.

Mustang Vs Mustang: Top Gear Gets It Wrong

I know, shocking right? The annoying Brits that seem to make it their lives goal to bash on U.S. sports cars have gotten something so obvious, so wrong. In an episode, where they pitted a Ford Mustang up against an actual horse, they claimed to be using a GT Mustang, which comes stock with a 4.6v V8 rated at 300 Horsepower. Instead, in the actual video they are using a V6 Mustang, rated at 210 Horsepower. Not only are they using the V6 Mustang but they picked the heaviest V6 Mustang you can possibly buy, a convertible.

Stangpede Builds Fast & Furious 4 Mustang

It usually takes days, weeks, and sometimes months to create a show vehicle, but the San Diego-based Stangpede Mustang club has set out to prove otherwise. Classic Design Concepts “Flashback” Mustang

A revolutionary idea has Classic Design Concepts taking the look and feel of those distinguished cars of the past and incorporating the technology of the present. What does this odd combination produce? The Ford Mustang Flashback, a sleek ride complimented by all the latest gadget appeal without losing the presence of the top-notch 1967 Mustang. These vehicles aren’t a one shot attempt at recreating the past, they will be on sale in 2008.

2007 SEMA Ford Mustang Preview

Last year at SEMA we saw a whole slew of Ford Mustangs go on display from standard aftermarket GT Mustangs, GT500’s and even a flashback to the golden days of the Pony car with a 1970 Boss 302 Mustang. This year Ford isn’t pushing the Mustang as hard but we still have two interesting Mustangs making their way to the show, the Mustang Wild Pony Project and 2007 Ford Mustang by Santini-USA. The kit also includes the necessary fuel upgrades with a Walbro in-tank pump and Denso fuel injectors. Pictures and complete list after the fold.

Special Edition Mustangs: How Many Is Too Many?

Anyone that has been paying attention to the Ford Mustang lately has no doubt seen Ford and aftermarket companies such as Roush and Saleen produce Special Edition Mustangs with very limited production numbers, usually 500 or less. This usually isn’t that big of a deal. In the past you generally had a V6 Mustang, Mustang GT, Mustang Cobra and some kind of aftermarket Mustang from Roush and Saleen with different performance and styling per model.

Retractable Hardtop Mustang Video

A few days ago we told you about the Retractable Hardtop Mustang that was being developed by Peter Muscat of Muscat Technology. Peter has now released a video of it in action. This is great news for those that had their doubts on whether or not this car was going to make it into production. Over the next 5 years there will be 500 of these produced. Aftermarket Mustang Retractable HardTop Developed

The Retractable Hardtop Mustang has come up in the past on our forums when a member posted a CDC prototype along with the videos of the concept in action. Now the Times of Malta has run a story about Peter Muscat, who plans to send a finished prototype to the United States. His Plans also include four more prototypes and five-hundred units a year for the next six years. The retractable power roof is released by a handle and then the rest is all automatic. It takes 30 seconds to fully retract, although an upgrade will cut off another seven seconds, and it won’t utilize any space in the trunk.
