2005 Mustang Sports V12 Aston Martin Vanquish Engine

One has to wonder what fans of the Aston Martin Vanquish have to say about having the powerful V12 finding a home under the hood of a Ford Mustang, though I have to admit it does look kind of cool seeing the 460HP/400TQ engine powering a S197 Mustang. We use those power numbers lightly as they are only the stock numbers for the base V12. The engine that presides in the 2005 Mustang has had “some work” done to it. You can check out the video of the engine in action after the fold as well as pictures and specifications for the V12 Mustang.

More Ignorance: Top Gear Calls Shelby GT A GT500

You might recall that just two days ago we highlighted an instance of Top Gear incorrectly labeling a V6 Mustang as a GT Mustang. How is it that you get something so simple so wrong…. twice? Well, regardless of how it happens it has happened again as Top Gear has labeled a Shelby GT as a Shelby GT500. You can watch the video after the fold as well as get the contact information to the complaints department of Top Gear to send them your thoughts.

On the ECTA’s 1mile x 30ft abandoned runway track, Robert is looking to hit a cool 200-210MPH in his Ford GT and have room to stop.

Mustang Vs Mustang: Top Gear Gets It Wrong

I know, shocking right? The annoying Brits that seem to make it their lives goal to bash on U.S. sports cars have gotten something so obvious, so wrong. In an episode, where they pitted a Ford Mustang up against an actual horse, they claimed to be using a GT Mustang, which comes stock with a 4.6v V8 rated at 300 Horsepower. Instead, in the actual video they are using a V6 Mustang, rated at 210 Horsepower. Not only are they using the V6 Mustang but they picked the heaviest V6 Mustang you can possibly buy, a convertible.

Classic Design Concepts “Flashback” Mustang

A revolutionary idea has Classic Design Concepts taking the look and feel of those distinguished cars of the past and incorporating the technology of the present. These vehicles aren’t a one shot attempt at recreating the past, they will be on sale in 2008.

Special Edition Mustangs: How Many Is Too Many?

Special Edition MustangAnyone that has been paying attention to the Ford Mustang lately has no doubt seen Ford and aftermarket companies such as Roush and Saleen produce Special Edition Mustangs with very limited production numbers, usually 500 or less. This usually isn’t that big of a deal. In the past you generally had a V6 Mustang, Mustang GT, Mustang Cobra and some kind of aftermarket Mustang from Roush and Saleen with different performance and styling per model.

His Plans also include four more prototypes and five-hundred units a year for the next six years. The retractable power roof is released by a handle and then the rest is all automatic. It takes 30 seconds to fully retract, although an upgrade will cut off another seven seconds, and it won’t utilize any space in the trunk.
