Hey, two quick questions about painting.
I've already painted my interior trim pieces, but the color is too bright. where can i get the exact (or close to) color of my exterior, and also, how can i get the pieces smooth and glossy like pictured here:
2000 Ford Mustang Photo

Hello All,

I just put in a JVC KD-HDR50 Head unit and what a difference. The sound is much better than the stock head, even with the all of the Mach 460 components. However, when I turn it up on a song that has a lot of bass the tweeters distort just a little bit. I have the equalizer on the iPhone's equalizer set to treble boost and then the stereo's equalizer set at
Mode SUB BASS BASS MID BASS MID MID HIGH HIGH ULTRA
HIGH
FreQuentY 60Hz 150Hz 400Hz .1kHz 2.4 kHz 6kHz 15 kHz
USER +10 +8 +4 +2 +4 +8 +10

Is my equalizer just off or would it just be easier to buy bass blockers? It doesn't distort a lot but enough for me to notice. Also what is the right bass blocker? I found some at Crutchfield.com - Bass Blockers Any Help?

Should I just leave it on and make sure to cover the body of the car and put something behind the grill so I don't get paint into the radiator?

I called ford and they can order the front speaker for 50 bucks for each speaker, which I feel isn't too bad but the amp is like over 250 dollars:eek: If any of you have any of these components, I would like to take them off of your hands for the right price. I only need 1 rear amp but if you have 2 awesome!

Ok I have a few things that are kinda bugging me. I bought this car when I was overseas in Iraq, and recently returned about a month ago. It is a 2007 V6, I kno I kno a V6. But I love it. It as a few scrapes and scratches. What is the best method of getting rid of these? I was thinking about taking it to a professional but I think it would cost way too much money. Also under the hood, there is all this white stuff on all the plastic pieces. I already checked the hoses and everything and it is all fine. I tried CRL, Simple Green among other things and nothing worked. Any suggestions? I am thinking about just repainting over it. What kind of paint should I use? I have attached a few pictures to give you a visual of what I mean. Thanks again all.

Hello All,

I want to make sure I do this right but I am little confused. I am planning on getting this new Head Unit Walmart.com: Pioneer DEH-11E MOSFET 50W x 4 CD Receiver w/ Front AUX input and RCA preout: Auto Electronics. I am confused on which Metra connection this needs. I have a Mach 460 and want to keep the speaker setup for now. I have 3 different choices Metra is giving me and while I'm pretty sure on which one is right, I need to make sure I'm correct. here are my 3 choices:

METRA 70-5520 plugs into existing car wire harness to install a new car stereo Ford/Lincoln/Mercury 03-06; Plugs into Car Harness HARNESS; - pretty sure its not this one

METRA 71-5520-1 Wire harness 4 factory radio Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Harness 03-06; 7 HARNESS; - not sure

METRA 70-5521 amp integration harness 4 new stereo Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Amp Integration 03+; For amplified sound systems, includes Ford, Lincoln and Mercury 03-05 Turbowire and a 8-pin harness with 2 pairs of RCAs HARNESS; - Pretty sure its this one but the connections don't match the stereos connection, The Walmart page has a pic of the back of the stereo and I'm not sure if this will work.

I have never installed a HU into a Mustang and the article on this site doesn't show a pic of how this is setup behind the stereo. Any help?
