The {slider} controls that open and close the doors for heat and defrost do not seem to be connected. Does anyone have any Ideas. try and fix it or is it better to just replace the whole unit. If so how much of the dash has to come out for that.
I have Chiltons if I have Qusion about the engine. Is there a good book for interior?

I have a problem with my 71 Mach 1 ignition key lock cylinder. It will not spring back to run when you start it, it stays all the way forward. I had to replace the key lock cylinder and now it has no spring return. There are two bent wire/springs in there. They look like they are the size of paper clips. Anyway, if anyone knows how I can fix this, or where I can get newer return springs, I would appreciate the help.

Hi,

Well I finally got my engine completed (stock 93 302 bottom, E303 cam, AFR 165 heads, 1.7 ratio rollers, edelbrock RPM intake along with edelbrock 4 barrel, JBA shortie headers, and 4R70W tranny) as far as I think I need to go and now need to look at the rear end. I want to put in a limited slip, ratio between 3.5 and 4.0 (not real hard over on that). I would like ideas or suggestions from anyone that has done, or thinking about doing this mod. Thanks

Forgot the car is a 64 1/2 Conv!

I currently rent out a 1966 Fastback in the UK 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback For Hire The Open Road Classic American Car Hire Warwickshire The Cotswolds The Midlands and am thinking of replacing the car with another early (64 to 66) one.

I have never been keen on the coupe so it will either be another Fastback or a Convertible.

Are the automatic soft tops on these cars reliable? If not what sort of things go wrong? Are parts available?

As we are in England and it rains a lot, I cannot afford to have a car out on hire and find the soft top stops working - particularly in the down position.

All thoughts and experience gratefully received.

I still had regular bulbs in and when I turned on the left blinker it worked fine but when I turned on the right blinker the license plate light started blinking and the left taillight started blinking but the right one didn't. I was thinking there might be a short in the line but wanted to find out for sure before i started pulling things apart. Also wondering if it could be a light switch behind the gauges. If anyone has any suggestions please help.

I am about to start restoring my 1966 Mustang. It currently has a inline 6 in it and I plan on putting a 351 Cleveland in it. Since it has the I6 it has the 4 bolt axles so I need to upgrade to the 5 bolt. But I am completely lost when it comes to suspension and the components. I found this kit and was just wondering if its good for the price or if i need to look for something else. Mustangs Plus*::* --Kits-- *::*Suspension Kits*::*Grab-A-Trak® Spring and Handling Kits*::*1965-66 Grab-A-Trak® Spring and Handling Kit . I need some inputs about what suspension would be best for my mustang.

It's now just my 69 Mustang CJ against a Yanko Camaro clone.

Now more than ever I need your help. I would greatly appreciate any votes you can make for my restoration or any one you can send to the site to vote for my car.

If I did this right here is a pic of the restored Car. It's not totaly done yet but it sure looks a lot better than it did a few years ago.

And here is a link to go register and vote. The voting ends midnight Sunday (eastern).
