I was just looking throught the Fleet distribution news bulletin and it lists Mustangs as last day to order (for fleet) as 12/8/09. It lists order bank open on 2011's on 1/18/10 and job 1 for 2011 as 3/15/10. I didn't realize the 11's would be this early. Still not much showing in the order computer. Only thing listed so far is Shelby Convertible. Still shows 5.4L SC 4V V8 so same engine (but could get the rumored alluminum block). They do show a SVT Performance package (option 67F). Inlcudes 19" wheels,RR Spoiler with GF (Gurney Flap I'm assuming), OTT Stripe delete and last but most importantly 3.73 Limited slip axle! GT's aren't working, but I've been trying to trick it into giving me some info. Only things I've found were: Option 55D Brembo Brake pkg 443 6 Speed auto trans 3 different 19" tires listed (1 245/45R19, 2 255/40R19, I assume one will be a summer only compound). 402A Package looks to be return of California Special Thats about all I can find right now. Looks like we'll all get the info soon if order bank opens Jan 18th, order guides should be available then! |
SolarGard NR Supreme 15% all the way around, with a windshield strip. It still has a little drying to do, but it's one of the best tint jobs I've seen. Virtually flawless, clean, crisp...just the right color.
I've got some experience in the window film industry, and I use SolarGard. It's a great film and this new Supreme Series is about the clearest film I've seen - No distortion, crystal clear. It has a charcoal base and is just the right color from the outside. It has a slight green tint from the inside...nothing crazy, but just the slightest hint of green. While I'm not necessarily a fan of that, it's so slight that it's not enough to turn me off of it. The clarity is absolutely worth it, and lifetime warranty.
I'm definitely a fan of the look. Tinting the windows is the first thing that I have done to just about every vehicle I have owned.

I have only owned one Ford. A (new then) 1995 Explorer. It was a horrible "car", and I swore I would never own another Ford product. Well - the new Mustang GT has me rethinking that. I am still a bit gun shy and concerned over quality control and frequency of repair issues. I intend to do more research and joining this forum is one way I hope to gain more insight into this car's reliability and quality issues. Any tips or comments about that are genuinely appreciated. Thanks! :cool:

I have never ever been afraid to drive anything, but this thing scared me. the sound of the supercharger, the roar of the exhuast. oh yeah just pure 100% kick ass car. it was very very smooth. Roush did an awesome Job. I want one. ]]>
They decided to compare the new camaro, challenger and mustang. after reading the 6 page article i was a little surprised that it was a NO contest according to the magazine. the mustang is hands down better then both according to them. It went on to say, explain to us how a 315 horse power car is as fast as a 450 horse power camaro? yes the mustang weighs 300 lbs less.
continued to talk about the superb handeling of the mustang and the fact that the mustang is the ONLY one that actually SOUNDS like a muscle car. Also they had to mention that how is it that the LIVE AXEL CAR handels better then the cars with independent rear suspension. The only awnswer they could come up with is that ford has stayed in the game through out the years and that chevy and dodge are just now making a comback. The article said both companys have a long way to go in order to match up to the mustang.
looks like ford kills the competition. oh yah and they also mentioned that the mustang is the cheapest as well. who wouldnt buy a mustang after reading that!! i love the look of the challenger but ford seems like they have it all together!

2010 has already been a great model year for the auto industry and with the revamped Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger and the Chevrolet Camaro - but pony wars have began all over again. Most all of the high end shops have been biting at the bit to be the first to do this and the first to do that with all the new models. Livernois Motorsports is one of those shops that specializes in going from mild to wild with their creations and from the looks of things, they have been hard at it with two 2010 Mustang GT’s.

A stock appearing car is the first thing that everyone looks at, and Livernois opted for Cobra Jet wheels in the front and rear trimmed out with Goodyear rubber for a subtle change. Providing the motivation is a Ford Racing’s 4.6L Aluminator SOHC model topped off with Whipple Supercharger’s 500HP model.
Ford Racing also supplied hot rod camshafts and three valve long-tube headers. The transmission will likely take plenty of abuse and that is why they prepared a custom C4 with a trans-brake. A Neal Chance torque converter is used in conjunction with TCI’s Streetfighter shifter and a custom one piece driveshaft.
Proper safety precautions have been taken as well with a Team Z custom six point roll bar and RJS harnesses. Suspension modifications were also made to handle all the power from the supercharger. Tubular control arms and an anti roll bar are used with pieces from QA1. All of these modifications have allowed the Livernois Motorsports team to gain the title as first 2010 Mustang in the 10’s. 10.88@125mph to be exact.
