So I drive the stang to the mechanic and they said the whole intake is gone, just broken and done with. Total cost/labor is 884 for parts and labor, but the main issue here is did I burn the engine because there was no more water. So my main Q is... should i keep this stang that i just got 4 months ago after the fix? :disgust:

So, I was on the way up to Auburn, to take my 16 yr old home....headed up 431N, and while coming through Headland, there was an old Chevy Nova. I didn't think too much about it, because there was a car show in Dothan this weekend. As I passed by him, I noticed it's been recently rebuilt.....new pipes, new rear end(not a speck of grease), and a pretty fresh paint job. Now honestly, I am NOT a fan of Novas. I think they are just ugly as hell! But this one was fixed-up pretty nice, and sounded really good! Well, during my normal "drive thru traffic", this dude decides to start fucking with me. He'd run up to me, or just pass me, then back off just to pass me again. Keep in mind, I've got my 16 yr old with me, so I'm really really trying to behave myself!! At one point, he comes by me, slows long enough to rev it once or twice, then stomps on it. It took me a few seconds to make the decision, but eventually I dropped it to 4th, and stuck it up his ass, and we ran WOT for a few miles. Just so happens, by the time we get to the first redlight in Abbeville, we got lined-up at the light. I dropped the window, and asked " What ya got in that thing?" He replied with " Just a lil 350. I got a small oil leak, and was trying to burn it off." "Yea, I saw you blowing a little smoke back there" The light went green, I tapped the throttle one time, just to see if he'd bite, then made a rather easy take-off. He made an easy take-off also, I'm assuming to keep from spinning. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the frontend of the Nova raise up( oh yea....here we go!) So, I dropped the hammer, and spanked that ass! He stayed just barely in my periphial vision, until I hit 5th, and decided to back off ( mainly because Abbeville is NOT the place ya wanna get caught racing..lol) He came up beside me, and bullshitted for a minute about all the smoke he blew on that run, then he waves, and pulls off for gas.
Whooping a Nova may not mean very much, but it made ME feel good, and the kiddo got a kick out of it too!
hehehehe

I'd really not to pay the exorbitant prices on the Roush website. ( ROUSH Performance: ROUSH Ford Mustang RH Rear Brake Rotor ) $415 EACH !?

I was hoping perhaps Baer, Brembo, or Powerslot made a replacement, but I can't find anything. Is there anything out there?

Thanks for your time!

second, i had bought and installed a second hand ford racing torsen diff. it works great and i know it was installed properlly, but there is a fairlly noticable noise while crusing down the road. it taps at a regular pace when your just crusing but stops when you accelrate, or turn hard. so ive been reading that people said some noise is normal, but this is pretty noticable. so i was curious to see if any of yall had any experince with that diff? thanks either way.

The only tune options it gives me, is 87 or 93, and factory fan cut-on or superchips fan cut-on. When I got the car, it was tuned for 93, but had been running 87. I tuned it back to 87, to see if I could pickup a few mpg's, but I can tell it's nothing noticable! Should I leave it as is? What would be the pros/cons of tuning back to 93, and still running 87?

hello to all
i've had a problem with stalling upon decelerating with the 2003 mach I. it was fairly intermittent. Money is a bit tight and it was suggested to me to clean the idle air control valve. I dont know if this was false hope, but the problem "seemed" to lessen after cleaning. But, now its stalling frequently when hitting the brakes and decelerating. She has aprox. 120,000 on the odo. I have taken it to a shop or three , one suggested vac leak , one wanted to start changing everything starting with the mass air sensor. NO code has shown on the dash at this point . Any and all help would be appreciated.
thank you all again for your time.

Ok, it's nothing major yet! But I'm asking you mustang vets to tell me if I'm right or wrong. I'm thinking it's the alt. Anyway, I've got this crazy loud fan (I'm thinking it's an after-market with the radiator....will check into it), but I've noticed on my way home at night, when the fan kicks on, the lights will flicker. This got me to thinking, so I started watching the gauge, when the fan kicks on, the needle will drop. I've noticed I can also make the needle drop when I roll-up the window, and leave the button pressed a little too long, essentially putting the window motor in a bind. I got the car out of Jacksonville, FL, and I've noticed the salt air down there, has kinda taken a toll on the alt casing......not too bad, just white, crusty stuff, that will easily wipe off. Would that have also shortened the life of the alt?

Alright I decided to go with the whole saleen bodykit and keep my rear exit tail pipes. Now to the rims I kinda wanted to keep as much black on the car as possible I have seen a couple cars black in color with black rims and it looks good but others not so good. So my question is for a black saleen which do you guys prefer? The black Saleen Style rims? Or the Chrome Saleen style?
