I wanted to add Ford Racings CAI and tune since it is required. The guy also suggested to go ahead and changes my gears to 3.73.

Other than a pulley change which I am not going to do for a while (again warranty) I guess this is about all I need to do for now.

I have heard some others have changed the gear, is this worth doing?

Any other mods suggested.

I know this is asking a lot but I would like to be able to let the top down as I leave my office. Maybe it is just the lazy person in me. I test drove a Mini which had that and it seemed cool.

Heck since the switch works the windows, at least maybe the windows could be lowered.

Is that how you chaps spell dumbass ??, anyway as some know own 08 GT500, going to pull trigger on some mods, I find the pick up less than I expected or desire, would wish for shorter throw on gears (Expect that will be expensive) & fancy some boy racer rear window scoops ( I like the cervani quarter window scoops from AM) & planning tune & CIA installation (Had good info from you blokes on CIA already), we have a specialist outfit here in St Louis "Mustang Muscle Performance", that I hear good things about & may visit with them. How much difference does a tune & CIA really make for instance ?
So any suggestions for this enthusiast with basic knowledge & thinning pocket book.

Only mechanical mod so far Bassani axel back mufflers.

Thanks
Cheers.

I know lowering a Mustang yields great handling benefites, but will it be fine with a Roush body kit.

The sideskirts sit only 5in. off the ground. Who would lower it?

I just went to a dealership to look at a Gt and found out that it was sold. I drove out of the parking lot and the next dealer down the block I see a Shelby. I stopped to just look at it and wound up taking it for a test drive. Now is a 07 Shelby worth 28.8K with just under 30K miles? I'm not sure what to do.

Maybe someone can shed some light on the following.

This car was originally in PA and had 2 owners (carfax)

While looking at the car I noticed that the stripes looked like they were faded in areas and as I said to my wife "that doesn't look right " the salesman was behind me, said that he ordered new stripes from Vegas and was going to replace them.

I also notice that the grille and the lettering in the back looked tarnished. They had a whitish color or film on them. I tried to rub it but it made no difference. Is this normal?

This car only had hood pins and wouldn't latch so anyone could open the hood. Is that how they are?

Also I noticed by the hood pin on the drivers side the paint was bubbling a little. I mean a very little. I know that some time down the line it may need to be repainted.

Thanks in advance...

You may know I have an 08 Shelby GT500, so I'm driving it @ the weekend, (Not hammering it) stop @ some signals & hear this very loud engine noise around me , thought I had a Harley right behind me with classic mis-beat exhaust sYou may know I have an 08 Shelby GT500, so I'm driving it @ the weekend, (Not hammering it) stop @ some signals & hear this very loud engine noise around me , thought I had a Harley right behind me with classic mis-beat exhaust sound, then realize it's my vehicle & with every mis-beat I feel the car vibrate, I am in neutral so fire the engine up @ standstill, and it sounds like I am missing a cylinder or two.& already loud Bassani's sound even louder
I limp it carefully through the signal, it appears to have lost just a little power park up & get underneath looking for holed muffler or whatever (As stated many times car is my pride & joy BUT my mechanical knowledge is limited), see nothing, so look under hood for anything obvious, low fluid levels ANYTHING, nothing to see., my wife is in car & tells me she can smell something burning, I switch off ignition & let cool down for 5 minutes ( because I don't know what else to do) start it up & all of the manifestations of the problem have gone, drive home about 12 miles no problem. Take to my dealer this a:m, he does a visual on the ramp sees no muffler problem, puts it on a test that checks the last 10 starts & can find no history of misfire, after other cursory checks tells me there's nothing wrong. OK, I want to believe that but seems very odd to me, could I have sucked something into the exhaust that may have effected temporarily compression, could some dirt got into the fuel system that on turning engine off fell back out of the system, I'm clutching & straws because I don't know what I'm talking about, anyone got a clue please ??????.

We recently purchased a 1993 'stang convertible and there is a decal (and maybe that's all it is) on the side showing BBS Special Edition. The folks at BBS did a history search and found that they never entered into a special edition agreement with Ford for that, or any other year, and that this could have been a Ford enticement. Does anyone know if there was a BBS Special Edition? We're thinking it was just a decal that was provided with the BBS rims. We don't have the original bill of sale to prove or disprove.

Today is my "30th" wedding anniversary, my wife & I have no family here in the US, with a son living in Tokyo & a daughter in England + all other relatives.

We have moved around in the US a fair amount over 8 years so have few nearby friends, just want someone to know that I love my "Old Girl" (Penny) almost as much as my Shelby, she is the best thing to happen in my life & remains as beautiful as the day I met her, a fabulous mother & wife who has put up with my carrying on for all these years - a bloody saint I tell you.

God bless you darling you are the best bird in the world.

Visually, the Mustang by Giugiaro appears more compact than the production car, thanks to a reduction of the rear overhang and a signature Giugiaro 'trick' of tapering the angles on the car to the limit of its mechanical outlines.

Still, the Italian version of America's most popular muscle car hasn't lost any of its swagger.

The vibrant orange concept is wider than the production version. The Giugiaros added 30 millimetres to the front, gradually expanding the width by a full 80 millimetres toward the rear, which is typical in Italian design.

With its longer hood and the trunk barely visible, the car looks more of a fastback in side view. But details throughout reinforce the freedom and rebellion synonymous with Mustang. Fabrizio Giugiaro's favourites include:

The interior featuring a dramatic instrument panel that sweeps the width of the car; circular gauges that project from behind the steering wheel; dark brown horsehide covered headrests with horse logo accents; and seat cushions and backrests elaborately upholstered in dark brown mottled horse hides.

The single curved glass panel that bridges the windshield and rear window, serving as the concept's roof. Produced by Solutia of Detroit, the panel is made from a special type of crystal that filters out 100 percent of UVA rays while providing unfettered vista views.

ok so I recently purchased an 2004 Roush and I am running into some major issues with the underside of the car scrapping. I cant even pull into my own driveway without some part of my car scraping and it kills me to hear it :( We are already working on fixing the driveway, but im paranoid about driving the car at all now around town! LOL So i was wondering of anyone had any suggestions on how i could fix this issue. I thought about maybe putting a larger sized tire onto my rim to hopefully raise the car up another issue but i worried about how large you can go without running into clearance issues with the fender. Also i thought about raising up the entire up 2 inches or so by putting on different springs but I didnt know how difficult or expensive something like that would even run.. Any suggestions would be great. Also i measured from my side skirt to the ground and there is a 4 inch clearance and from one of my pipes underneath to the gound is 3 inches..
