no that's not true, only different tire heights would make your speedometer off, and depending how drastic you go will result in the amount it's off. My car came with 205/65R15 tires when I bought it. I went with 17x9 rims and if I use 245/45ZR17 tires, with the bigger rims, my speedo will still read the same. but if I went with 255/40ZR17 my tire is now about .5" smaller and now the speedo is off, but merely a fraction.

if you upgrade your rims and get the correct size tire you will not have any problems. READ the article and learn which tires will work etc etc

275/40ZR17's would be your best bet I would think.

I dont know how retards can honestly tell people that larger rims will mess up their speedo, its the tires that do it.. get the correct size tire (depending on your application) and you will be perfectly fine.

you can find funny tire sizes, but as soon as you find ones that work, plug em into tire rack and see if theyre available

just because they work doesnt mean theyre available

people who put a smaller than 275/40/17 on their 9 wide rims for the front of their car are also very misinformed.

just glancing through and read the article for the oem wheels/tires the 10holes came with 225/60/15 tires on them not 205/65, same for the turbines.
