Black Chrome vs. Chrome

would 18x9 and 18x10 dd black chrome bullitts look good on a 03 gt?

I like black chrome, but it doesn't look good with every color. I think a white car with black trim would look good with black chrome wheels.

Yah I think it would look good. Anthracite looks great on white cars...black chrome would look even better. As hottcobra said, accent it with dark trim, you already have started with that hood stripe.

Im gonna have to throw a wrench in the program gentelmen.....I disagree,I personaly dont like black chrome at all and with the black hood stripe I think black wheels with a machined lip would look best.Just my 2 cent though.

i personally like just regular chrome, if you go deep dish get the RIGHT SIZE TIRE for them and remember... you cant rotate if you do so keeping the tires in good shape with the right air, alignment is essential.

thanks for the suggestions but i've decided on chrome 18x10 in the rear and 18x9 in the front.
im now deciding between dd fr500s or dd bullitts.
i also decided on the bfg gf kdw 2 tires. still questioning the sizes though.

you should've done chrome on one side, and black chrome on the other. Best of both worlds

you do not have to question the sizes. Look at the pics of the tires on my rims (in my sig click High Res Pictures), thats how you want them to fit.

I have 275/35/18s in the front and 295/35/18s in the rear and since my tires are the same as you want and I have 18x10 and 18x9 you will see the same fit.

either way you can't go wrong as far as the rims. but for the tires. spectorv knows wahtcha need. 275/35/18's (front), 295/35/18's (back).

but i think i'm gonna go with 18x9 and 18x 10 chrome dd fr500s, drop my car 1.5"/2.0", get a new hood, repaint the car white. make it clean and low.
thinks always change so im never sure haha.

One thing to consider if you stagger you cant rotate your tires

yeah, that's the one thing that is holding me from buying them right at this moment. :/
i was thinking of just getting 275/35/17kdws to put on my stock wheels and waiting till beginning to mid summer to get the new wheels and *back tires. just a money issue. then the other two 275s that i take off i can save for the front when those go out.

but i'm not 100% sure on it right now.

yeah i'm thinking the same...for now. i kinda wanna be able to get custom dd rims when i decide to buy wheels, so if i were to just get all the same size tires for now, that'd give me enough time to save enough to do whatever i want.

This is very true...and remember, you can always buy wheel spacers to get that wider look and pull the wheels out from inside the fender.

A pair of hubcentric 1" spacers will run you about $150 compared to $700 for a wider set of wheels that you can't rotate.

I was going to do that with my stock 16s to pull out the rear wheels, but then I said the hell with it and bought 17x9/17x10.5 black bullitts

The black crome looks good. I thinking of getting black crome saleen wheels or Black 2010 GT500 wheels. post pics when you get them installed

Black chrome is a Fad in my opinion. Yes I think it looks good too, but still when chrome wheels are clean they look the best especially when cruising down the road. A difference in opinion is all.

i have black chrome on my car. i love the way they look. i wouldnt go any other way. i got 17x10.5's in the back and 17x9's in the front. look great. so go with black chrome
