New Wheels

Just bought a new 2010 and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good set of after market wheels.

Re: New Wheels

Yah post up some pics, or tell us what color, certain colors/finishes in wheels only work with certain color cars.

Re: New Wheels

You can go to Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle and browse their wheel selection. If you find something that you may like you should be able to go over to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and they have an interactive photo selection so you can see how the wheels will look on your car. Of course American Muscle also has tons of customer submitted photos so you can also see your car with each rim.

If you're wondering what years have compatible fitting than you have the Foxbody body style ('83-'93). Foxbody vehicles are 4 lug from the factory; SN95/New Edge body style ('94-'98/'99-'04) will interchange. These cars are 5 lug; S197 body style ('05+ (~'11)) are also 5 lug but have a different offset (mounting depth) than the SN95/New Edge.

If you just want to know some specifics than there are also some good articles on American Muscle and right here on M.E. Mustang Wheels and Tires FAQ

If you want personal opinion than telling us a little bit about your car, or posting some pics and maybe even some future modding plans will help us pick some styles. For instance some colors look great with chrome, but if you plan on blacking out your car: dark window tint, black accents than having a black wheel makes the car look even better.

Re: New Wheels

there are TONs of rims but make sure the fitment is right, you probably have the same needs asa 05-09 which is 50mm offset~ at least in the rear

Re: New Wheels

You're lucky...a black car has a ton of wheel options. I've always been a fan of black rims with a chrome lip on a black car. Whether they're bullitts, cobras, fr500s, black with a chrome lip is *****in to me. If you plan on tinting the lights, windows and adding dark accents, black and chrome wheels compliment those accents the best.

Chrome always looks good too...one you don't always see on black cars is anthracite or hypercoated. It's really up to you...your car, look into the different styles, find some pics of black 2010's with different rims, get an idea of what you like and don't like.

Re: New Wheels

I'm shamelessly biased about this, but check these out. I have them on my '08. They aren't cheap, but they are a very good wheel. They come in 18 and 20 inch sizes for Mustangs.

Re: New Wheels

CEC without a doubt. Just don't get anything larger than 1 inch above stock size. Unless you're ghetto fabulous, which doesn't sound like you are. Another option: there are shops that specialize in wheel repair. It may be worth your time to contact them and show them your current wheels, see what they can do for you.
