Re: Rims

Tirerack.com has a bunch of wheels for mustangs. A couple of members have godspeed wheels too for their S197 GT's. They are pretty nice lookin wheels.

Re: Rims

They should...a lot of guys do those size wheels and don't have any problems...the worst case scenario would be rolling the rear fenders so the larger wheels/tires don't rub when forced upwards due to a bump or something. But I don't think you'll have to do that.

You could post a question about the springs and wheels in the 05-09 section to get some feedback from fellow S197 owners. They'll know for sure.

Re: Rims

I think you should be ok with the proper offset. I run 18x9.5 all around with the pro-kit. If you don't have an adj panhard bar, you may need that for the 18x10 in the rear to recenter the rear-end.

Also, good thing for 05+ cars is that the rear fenders are already 'pre-rolled'. There is no lip on them like the older cars.

Re: Rims

depends on what style you personally like~ remember you have those damn tire sensors in your rims that monitor pressure and those are costly if you dont reuse them from the stock rims (which is hard to do since you would have to remove the tires to get to them.. so buying new ones is generally the best way to go about it)

americanmuscle.com
lethalperformance.com

tires at discounttiredirect.com or tirerack.com if not in a package form one of the above~

also note ebay may have some good deals but make sure the tires are not cheap POS's

If you wish to spend 2500-3500 for rims (only) then let me know and you can get some nice custom ones (shelby's and the like are a rip off based on what else you can get for the price)~

Hey now, normally I'd agree with you about the shelby's being overpriced, but if you can get a good deal on them, I'd recommend them. I payed a little over a $1000 for the set with tires. 17x9's and 17x10.5's. My mechanic had an account with TireRack and got them for me.

Oh yeah those are up there...that's getting near the starting price for a set of rims like yours. For a little more coin you can get a set of those bad boys.
