Upgrade my rims or stay stock

Ok, I am wrestling with this decision currently. Should I upgrade my rims from the stock style or stick with stockers?

Here is what I am debating between:

Silver FR500s - 18x10" rear and 18x9 Front
Hyper Coated FR500s - 18x10" rear and 18x9 Front
Antrecite FR500s - 18x10" rear and 18x9 Front
Stock 03 Cobra replicas - 18x10" rear and 18x9 Front

The same could also be said for sticking with the 17" sizes...so...
Silver FR500s - 17x10.5" rear and 17x9 Front
Hyper Coated FR500s - 17x10.5" rear and 17x9 Front
Antrecite FR500s - 17x10.5" rear and 17x9 Front
Stock 03 Cobra replicas - 17x10.5" rear and 17x9 Front

So, everyone chime in here...

Attached images are
1.) Hyper Coated
2.) Anthrocite
3.) Silver

Re: Upgrade my rims or stay stock

Oh yeah, and all the FR500 choices are for deep dish rims...the upgraded 10.5" stock replicas would be standard 10.5" rims, not deep dish.

Also, chrome and black are 100% out of the question...do not like black rims and chrome is not right for my color red IMO.

Re: Upgrade my rims or stay stock

First off do NOT buy 17 inch FR500s they look really puny and out of place. The 10.5 upgrade AFS 2003 cobra rims are nice but they always seem to sit to far out from under the rear fender (may be the spacers people use) so keep that in mind. I had when the tire sticks out from under the fenders.

I cant decide about the FR500s either... I like them but ive yet to see a redfire car and just go OMG those rims are awsome on it!

I voted stick with the stockers, but "Silver 03 Cobra replicas - 17x10.5" rear and 17x9 Front" is probably what I should have voted for.

Kyle will get first shot...unless he has Mike's rims by then...
Then they will be on here.

Can anyone chop these onto my car? I am still not sure...I love the Anthrocite color, but not sure about it on my car. So, can anyone put all three on my car?

There are some pics of the car here:

Stock 03 Cobra replicas - 18x10" rear and 18x9" Front.
To me these are the only Ford based design that looks good on the 03/04 cobra's. They are a big improvement over stock.

I am tossing that idea around. I am trying to decide what kind of coloring would look good on them. Like an alternating theme, just a center theme. If the photoshoppers of the world could unite and crank out some options...it would be greatly appreciated.

black chrome cobra r's17x9 or 17x10.5

03 cobra black chrome 17x9

See, I have always thought black rims look like walmart specials. Too dull and boring. Chrome doesn't go well with my understated red...in my mind...so I want to stick to painted silver. THe Anthrocyte is borderline too dark in my mind...and the hypercoated is borderline chrome in my mind...but they both look hot as hell. lol

The black chrome is something I have never liked...but not as much as I dislike regular black rims. And, I definitely don't want to go cobra R's...not on this car anyhow.

Prolly because those are the only samples I gave him. I still get the idea...so it is all good.

THanks for the chops Kyle. I Am really feeling those Hypercoated ones. They are chome, but not blingy chrome. But the anthrocite are looking pretty bad *** too. Leaning towards the Hyper right now...but that is going to change about 20 times by tomorrow I think.

As far as the drop, that will come before the KB/Whipple. I am gutting the suspension and rear end before I send the HP through the roof so everything is ready for it. When I do the KB/Whipple, I will also be doing a bore and stroke kit to 302 min, possibly 324

Smurfin, I think I just found the perfect wheels for your car.

There's a picture of them in Black in a magazine advertisement, but not on their website.
