Alright guys... Need some help.

I need to decide on what wheels I want to put on my 06 really quickly. I want something that's not gonna be too ridiculously priced, so no Foose Nitrous or Boyd Cottington Smoothies. I want either 18x9 or 18x10, unless I go with a staggered 18x8.5 and 18x10. I kinda would like to keep the same wheel all around.

I'm really kinda leaning towards the 18x9s though. Reason being, I can't find anyone that makes a 295/40/18 tire, which would be the correct size for an 18x10 wheel. For a 18x9 wheel, I can go with a 285/40/18, which is 26.98" tall. Stock is 27.18", so it's only about a 1% difference. Nitto makes their 555 Extreme in a 285/40/18. Since their tires run narrow, it should be a good fit for the 9 wide wheel.

So... I'm pretty much looking for an 18x9 wheel. So far I've narrowed it down to either Deep Dish Bullits or FR500s. With either one, I'll probably go with chrome for the finish. I was just wondering if you guys had any opinions on the two or any recommendations for any other type of wheel.

I was originally looking at the American Racing Rebels until I found out that even though they have a part # that is intended for 05+ Mustangs... the offset is not correct.

So help a brother out.

If I had a new mustang, and wanted to go with 18's I would get the Roush wheels, they are 18x10 F/R, and come from the factor with I either 275/40/18 or 275/35/18 tires, I can't remember which. I imagen that the Roush wheel would be somewhat expensive though. In my opinion neither wheel that you suggested would look very good on the new Mustang. (just my opinion, but I don't even thing they really look that good on SN95 Mustangs) I've seen a S197 with 20 inch Bullit replica's that looked damn good.

How about these.
http://www.americanracing.com - Rebel

One of the things that I think about the new Mustangs is that the wheels on them look about an inch smaller than they would on a SN95. 18's on a SN95 would look like 17's on the new Mustangs. If I had a new Mustang I would get 20's. :smoke:

Re: Alright guys... Need some help.

If you read my post again...

You see that I already looked at the Rebels. They are the ones I really wanted. But the offset isn't quite right. I may go ahead and get them anyway. I think in the 10 wide, the offset is really close... 41mm instead of 45 like it should be. But I don't know where I'm going to find tires for it... 275/40/18 is way too small. Maybe 285/40/18 will be ok if I get a brand that runs wide, like the BFG. Or maybe I can find some 305s...

Re: Alright guys... Need some help.

BTW, anyone know where I can find the Roush wheels for the 05+??? I may be interested if the price isn't ridiculous.

I think I've just about decided on a 285/40/18 on a 10" wheel all around though... just got to go with a wide brand and watch for curbs.

Re: Alright guys... Need some help.

Well... I just found out the Roush wheels also use a 41mm offset... and cost $400 a piece. It looks like I'm going with the American Racing Rebels, 18x10 all around, with BFG KDW 2's all the way around.

$247 a tire = Me not broke, but more broke than I like...

Sorry, I must of read your post to fast.

I have BFG G-Force KD's. I just put some 265/35/18's on the front, and they cost me over $300 a peice, but they are very sticky.

Nah, not really my style. And I really don't want 20s. They are still too big for the 05+ in my opinion. 19s at the most...

Re: Alright guys... Need some help.

Ok... so the Rebels are out. They don't have the right offset in the right bolt pattern.

So...

I'm strongly considering these instead. These are a perfect fit. I can put some 285/40/18 Nittos on 18x9s and they will be almost the perfect width/height. Or... I can go with BFGs 255/45/18s on 18x9s up front with 285/40/18s on 18x10s out back. I'm leaning toward the 18x9s all around though. Let me know what you think.
