Re: tires like mirror

some tires just dont shine up like others, the way the tire is made can definatly change how it works with different types of gel/spray/etc

I use turtle wax tire gel...works great, doesn't spatter, lasts a long time.

Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss.

It smells like grape Kool-Aid, so you know it's good.

Re: tires like mirror

Zep makes some very good products for car care but they are hard to come by and expensive. Tireless shine is a terrific aerosol and they have a new wipe-on gel called Brilliance that actually has a micronized glitter in it that actually looks great. It shines differently when you look at it from different angles.

Re: tires like mirror

I think Armor All is the best, I personally love the foam (although it only lasts several days or until it rains), but they're really shiny afterwards! The gel is okay, I personally don't like the texture and the way it gets stuck in the tire when you rub it in....

Foam for the win!!!

I personally looove Zaino products (not sure if they make a tire shine), they're a little pricey but are definitely the best IMO.

Re: tires like mirror

when you wash your car scrub the tires very good. it helps them shine better and stay looking better longer. I use meguiars hot shine in the orange bottle and its nice. Some tire brands dont shine as good as others.

Re: tires like mirror

I haved used black magic before and it's pretty damn sloppy. It only lasts a few days but the worst is I've seen a lot of it get on the wheels and make brake dust harder to scrub off. Black magic = bad ****.

Re: tires like mirror

I will have to check the name of what I use, I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure it is a Meguiars product. Teflon spray shine. You spray it on and it's pearly white but when it dries it's clear and shines nice after 2 or 3 coats. It's the best I have found so far, sometimes staying on the tires for a full week to two weeks.

With the gel I hit it hard the first time and just a light coat every week to two weeks. Rain, snow, dirt, nothing takes it off.

Re: tires like mirror

I have I think Black magic gel, and when I washed my car yesterday I noticed that I couldnt get the tires fully clean cause the gel was gripping everything from the road. Lot of sand and grit. Plus it got on my rims and was a pain to get it off. Definitely a pain. Have to find something else to use and wont be using it on my new tires when I get em thats for sure.
