wheel rub question

looking at this 87 gt with 119000 on the odom. good shape overall. previous owner has put what looks like 03-04 cobra wheels on it. tire size 245-40-17. when turning the front wheels they rub. i'm asuming they are 17x9 wheels. too wide for the front? looks like it's been lowered 1.5 - 2.00 inches.

When you turn and they rub it's just because they are a little bit too big and that's not a problem as long as it only happens when you turn. This happens on my dad's car and he has had the wheels on there for a while now and it hasn't created a problem with uneven tire ware.

Oh, that's my least favorite color on the interior. But you can always get the interior redone

Re: wheel rub question

I haven't had an issue with mine in the rain, but mine also doesn't have a lot of hp so if you have a 5.0 it might handle a little different than mine

Re: wheel rub question

i've driven mine in the rain a couple times. it does make me nervous but my tires aren't in the best shape either.
