Brembo Brake package spare tire

Im waiting on my new Mustang with Brembo Breake package it should be hear in a couple of weeks. I dont like the fact that it has no spare sicne Im using this car to tour the country. I dont want to get stuck on some offbeat road with no cell service and no spare. My question is this has anyone fit a 19" full size spare in the trunk. I dont care if its higher then the trunk well just want to know if it fits in the well. Thanks.

It might fit, but it will be very tight. I rented a 2010 model last summer and had a hard time getting 2 suitcases to fit in the trunk.

it probably will fit, but not so that you can put the cover back over the tire, it would be far to tall for that.

For example the 2000 cobra R has a full size spare, but it sits up higher than normal (but there is no trunk lining so it doesnt matter in its case lol)

Re: Brembo Brake package spare tire

Just priced a full size tire and wheel from ford. To get the same wheel and tire that comes with the Brembo Brake package will run me around $1000. Wow just for 1 tire.

Nice looking car. I hope your spare fits because full size spares are crazy priced.

Re: Brembo Brake package spare tire

May be less to buy 4 run flat tires in place of reg tires. Just a thought i dont even know if you can get them in the size you would need but all my corvettes have had them. I never had to test them out that way but have been told they work good when needed.

Re: Brembo Brake package spare tire

I have been thinking of this, I have a plan for using my current spare with my (as yet uninstalled) 14" Brembo's if I have a flat on the road.

It is not a perfect plan and yet it costs nothing but a little time. If I have a flat on back, no problem, the brakes are the stock rotor and caliper. If I have a flat on front, I will put the spare on the rear, and take the rear tire and replace the flat on front. No problem....

you may just have to swap a rear off and then roll it to the front if you have an issue.
