Powder coating or what?

I like my rims but all four have varying amounts of areas where the clear coat has been compromised and looks bad.
What's the best thing to do short of buying new ones. I can powder coat with sandblasting locally for like 50 per wheel.
Tires have very little wear and this car won't drive in winter so probably have couple years left on them. And ya when looking up close i should probably do brake calipers while I'm in there.
Any ideas on colors if I powder coat? Or better ideas? Thx!

Re: Powder coating or what?

mine are like that too, i took them off becasue i needed new tires and found someone seling bullitts with tires so i just switched, i still have them so i can use them as winter tires. im not sure what color they would look good in besides silver, i mean you could do black but that might look alittle weird but people sell them on craigslst for like 250 or so so you might find that it would be cheaper to just buy the rims from someone and using your tires

Re: Powder coating or what?

I heard there are places that refurbish wheels to look like new but I don't have any names of the companies that do it.

Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA is one option.

http://www.wheelcollision.com/

I got some OEM machined V6 wheels from them for snow tire use and they looked great. (They sell repaired wheels as well as repair yours).

Re: Powder coating or what?

if I find some larger rims and tires, do i need to adjust anything? I think these are 16x7, so say I get 17x8 or larger, will I need to do anything? saw some 05 gt rims and tires on craigs that seem nicer than what i have and could probably sell mine the same way i suppose....

Re: Powder coating or what?

How much, then freight from LA would be expensive most likely?

I found some on craigs too, will these fit my car?
Rims are:
17" x 8". 5 lug. 4.5" bolt pattern
From 05 GT has newish tires also.
for like 400 bucks with the tires seems like great deal.

Re: Powder coating or what?

I wouldnt spend 200-300 bucks on fixing those wheels when you can buy some better ones for 300-400 bucks
