Drag radials

Well went to the track tonight and I couldn't hook for sh*t.. I've got the 255/40-19s that come with the brembo pkg... I got almost 10k on them. Thinking bout getting a second set of two wheels n tires for the track.. Looking for suggestions.. Or I there's a good street tire that hooks decent then I'm nit opposed to that.. It's a daily driver.. But I dont wanna hook too good a rip out my tranny.. Don't wanna beef up the tranny for a while really either...

Re: Drag radials

My vote is for Mickey Thompson ET Street radials. They'll give you more grip, at the track, than you even need and they're streetable enough that you won't have any trouble driving to/from the track on them (and a few days afterwards, if you're too lazy to immediately swap them back out).

Re: Drag radials

Another M/T person here. Put them on the car yesterday and drove 45 minutes to the track with no issues. Drop pressure, race your heart away, and add air and drive home. Put the street tires back on and enjoy not going through tires every 5k miles.
