Tire Sizes?

So I have a stock 07 GT, and I just bought a set of 18x9 wheels to put on her. Obviously I need new tires, but I'm trying to figure put what I can out on and still avoid rubbing. Could I fit a 265 -45-18 on the front without rubbing? I know I could on the back ( I could even run 275-40-18 back there if I wanted, couldn't I?) but I'm not sure about the front. Is 265 to much, and would I be better off just going 255 on front?
Also americanmuscle suggests getting the TPM sensor kit when I get the wheels - do I need it, or is it just a play for some cash?
Thanks

Re: Tire Sizes?

i would look into 275 wide tires vs 265 unless rubbing will be a factor on the front. I am not really sure if it will as it depends on sidewall height as well as offset of the rims.

If you have a tuner you can drop the sidewall height to that of a 275/35/18 tire instead of a 45 (looks better on a lowered 05+ anyway) but a tuner is needed to correct speedo.

Re: Tire Sizes?

Allright, I've found out that some people claim there was rubbing with the 275's up front, so I'm going to avoid that and jump to 255-45-18 on front, with a 275-40-18 rear. Thanks for the reply either way
