Buying used rims

Is there a place to look for on a rim to determine if the lug pattern will fit a 06 Mustang GT and if so what is the lug pattern that works? I'm looking at used 20" wheels and would like to avoid having to remove the wheel to see if they will work. If I can save my time and their time even better. The person selling the rims doesn't know if they will fit a mustang and like me doesn't know just by looking at the rim.

On the back of a spoke should be the pattern size on most wheels. Mustangs are 5x4.5" or metric is 5x114.3.

Re: Buying used rims

you need to measure or find out the offset/backspacing to determine how they will fit the car they may sit to far in or to far out~

most 9 inch wide rims for example should be around 3 inches outward (rim width - backspacing = front spacing and that should be at least 2.89-3.00 inches)

The wheels didn't fit. The lug pattern was off slightly. Back to the drawing board.

When looking for used wheels tires and interested in a "deep dish" wheel, what is the perfect wheel / tire combo for the 2006 GT. I know that preference plays a part, but I'm sure many of you have first hand experience on what works best for performance and look.
