painting wheels

Some people say I Could paint my wheels black. I want black rims but don't want to buy them. Can they be painted black and look good. I have the 2011 GT aluminum looking 5 mag. They are the stock ones that come on the base line. If so what paint do I use.

I painted my friends rims on his rice cake Honda. Sand them down, primer rim spray paint, and then rim spray spray paint. Stay about a foot away from rim when spraying, and do even coats. Let almost dry, and do a second, or third coat.. Didn't have plasti dip, and have not used it yet.. May be easier... Not sure..
