new rims and tires

I recently bought 18x10s and 18x9s Saleen rims from American Muscle and I would like to know where I could get some good tires for a low price. Any suggested websites?

Discount tire, might not be the cheapest all the time but they try, and they are always helpful, just an all around good company

Why didn't you just order them from AM? They could've mounted and balanced them. Which Saleens did you go with?? I've got black Saleens from AM and love em'. They are some great looking wheels.

My cousin got tires from there with his fr 500s and they wore down quick. And I got the staggered set 18x9 and 18x10.

Re: new rims and tires

I got my rims and tires from AM. This is the first set of Nitto's for me. So, I don't know for sure how they are gonna last. I don't drive my car in the winter so can't give much info on that.

BaSohol is right about Discount Tire. That's where I go generally, but AM has such a good deal on rims and tires that for my Mustang that's where I've gone. Twice.

Re: new rims and tires

I've checked out Tirerack also. They seem to have fairly decent pricing. Hope you got what you needed.

255/40/18 in front, 295/35/18 in back bridgestone potenza's re760 sports. Had to go wit more tire in the front due to the engine weight. Looks awesome though. Haven't driven it yet cuz im out of town but my bro said it handles great.

If i were to replace my rims I would get 20s, 20s are like 18s on the s197, but some people don't relieve that they just hear 20" and think of some ghetto spinners, but honestly anything aftermarket that's not 19 or bigger is a waste if your going for looks

Re: new rims and tires

20s on a new edge look like garbage but the S197 were made for them. I love the look of a 19 on the new edge though.

You have a v6 do you not? Those 18s are bigger than you think.

See the difference!!!!! New edges shouldn't have 20s but the s197 fits emm

The new edge looks horrible with those rims but the s197 looks just right but hey your the one who has to look at your car everyday

I think the car would look nicer with 20s and lowering it, I have a set of 15" racing wheels so I'm not worried about lose in performance

They have the best customer service I've found anywhere . I've bought 2 sets of tires and wheels,in the past 8months from them. I won't go anywhere else now.

Another thing to consider when u buy rims and tires seperate then u have to have them mounted and balanced for xtra money .. So maybe a tire wheel package probably is cheaper .. Just from my experience

Mine were actually pretty pricey. I paid almost double the price for my tires than I did for my wheels.

Wow. Mine are Sumitumo or something like that. And they are $672, and my wheels were $516 I think.

My rims came out to 750+ including acorn nuts and TPMS sensors. Then my tires came out to 1180. They had to special order the 295/35/18 from Dallas. So yeah. Pretty pricey.

Re: new rims and tires

I like dealing with DiscountTireDirect.com they are great to work with, great customer service and their tire hazard is very nice. I had a nail in a tire, replaced with no question, no pics needed, no nothing just me telling them. Shipped out on their time and received very fast. When mounting that tire found another tire had a bubble, same thing free shipping very fast no questions.
