Need new rims. Stay 17's or go 18's????

I am in need of new rims for my 00 vert. The tires I have are good. So I am thinking of getting another pair of 17's and swap the tires. I don't like the low profile tires that you have to get with the larger wheels. Plus not getting a new tire and wheel package will save me money to lower it. I may also get some spacers for a staggered look in the rear.

I'm actually thinking of going back to 17''s on my mach. The roads here seem to be getting worse and the 18'''s aren't cutting it for me. Plus i've destroyed 2 wheels from huge pot holes. Couldn't swerve to avoid due to traffic. The Mach is about to become a garage queen soon enough. So i've been thinking about doing some road racing at a local track. Always thought the 17's handled better the 265/35/18 tire up front is too much for my liking. Just my

Thanks. I am digging the Saleens. I had mine plastidipped because I wanted black. It wasn't what I thought. The black just killed any detail of the wheel.

Have you thought about painting the calipers or rotor hats since you'll be in there. Check out the Caliper paint kit they have at O'reillys and such. Make sure its high temp. Give the calipers a good scuff and clean before paint.

Yeah I miss the glare of the chrome wheels lol. Too bad I just replaced my tires on the 18's . I was driving around town the other day and pulled up to a light, noticed a 04 TR Mach across the intersection. With the exact same wheels. Time for a change maybe i'll post my wheels up when I get 100 posts.

Thanks man, when it comes to paint them take your time and do a couple extra coats of paint. Use a heat gun to speed up the drying process in between coats. Made it easier for me.
