18" wheels and Brembo package, help needed.

The 18 inch rims fit the brembo break package 5.0? And is there a way to make my AMR 18inch rims fit??

Alot of this has to do with the barrel size. Not sure how big it needs to be to fit though, call AM and ask for clarification

Send a message via AIM to SpectorV
probably not enough room between the spokes and the mount location so it bumps it when you try to slide it out and bolt it down

Some 18" wheels apparently will fit over the Brembo/GT500 brakes (same thing AFAIK). It all depends on the back of the spokes. As suggested above, I'd call the vendor and ask about the specific wheel model you want.

The basic issue is that the Brembo brakes have larger 14" rotors, and the larger 4-piston calipers to clear. So you need more room in diameter and clearance for the bigger, squarer caliper.

Even if they fit i wouldnt put 18s on brembos , they need room to vent , if not they will heat up way too quick and damage the brake system faster

Mustang_5.0,

For the factory GT 18's, I believe the wheel spokes do not stick out far enough the clear the thickness of the Brembo brakes. However, our 18x9 AMR wheels DO clear the Brembo brake package on 11+ GT's! So, you're good to go that direction if 18x9's or 18x10 AMR's are the look you want.

We actually have this same staggered setup on our Project Black out with the Brembo brake package and haven't had any issues with the brakes overheating or brake fade. So, I wouldn't worry about that with these AMR's!

Hope this helps!

Shane

Aww man really sorry to hear, you had a beautiful car, glad you're ok!

We're you able to keep any of the mods on the car?

It was a freak accident
There was no construction sign on the road and my rear radials slid on top of the metal plate on the road and 360'ed on the freeway into a wall. Fractured my forearm and now left at a loss
Wasn't able to salvage much but the intake, detune it, and salvage my old rims.
Looking at th boss302's now
