Cool. I like the gloss look too. The new Amr wheels look good on a black car. I may do those when my rubber needs changed out. . Put up some pics when you finish.

3 but nevermind my rims got smoother I think it's the texture on the alloys that make look textured.

Try to do it when it's not in direct sunlight or super hot it made a difference on mine
My spoiler I did in the sun is kinda rough
But the rims I did in the garage are smooth

Ya i did it in my garage in about 50 degree weather. But I put one more coat on and that smoothed it out and they look good now.

I did mine and it been on for close 6 months I think only problem I'm having is where I didn't clean it good enough and when I just got new tires they kinda peeled the edges or lip of the wheel

What do y'all think of the wheels? I am pretty happy with them. One of them got a little screwed up when I put on the first lug nut. So I will have to redo it eventually.

Doing this won't throw your wheels out of balance?

Nice. I have some nice 18" wheels that came with my Steeda. But I do like the matte black look too. Might pick up some 18" wheels for cheap and do this to them.
Inexpensive way of getting a different look

I did mine a couple of months back and it still hasn't peeled off except a small part when I took it to the car wash and used the power washer directly on the rims. (Bad idea) I also did the emblems and the grille. Everything after the taped wheel is all plastidipped

Anyone else have the problem with taking the tape of after pdipping them? I left my lip chrome and couldn't get the tape of cleanly. Other than that the wheel looks great. Make sure you coat it enough 5 times at least and you'll have no problems

My understanding is you need to pull the tape off right away. Or at least within a few Mins of spraying. Dipyourcar has videos of doing this and he does it within seconds.

That is what I was hoping would be the case. I wouldn't imagine it needs anything crazy.

I used glass cleaner and degreaser and let them dry themselves and it worked great
