Wrong offset?

So my car apparently has the wrong off set which is causing the tire to rub the lower a-arm. Could someone please explain what offset is and how to fix it?

Basically those wheels aren't meant for you're car. The center of the rim is too close and is hitting. You need to get the rims that are meant for you're car

My rear saleens rubbed the inner wheel well. I just went and bought some inch and a quarter wheel spacers. Looks beefy and doesn't rub anymore

Those are factory wheels so the offset is correct for your car.
