Question about painting...

So I was just wondering what others would think about some ideas on my '02 V6...
1. Since I don't feel like spending a lot of money on new rims, I thought about painting my stock rims black and also painting my calipers red.
2. Painting my rear lights black (or just darker).

Do you guys think it would look good and do you have any tips/ideas on it?

Unfortunately I live in an apartment and don't have a garage. Would it work if I just did it outside?

There's some good quality caliper paint online. But I would say pay to have someone do it. I had mine done and it was pretty inexpensive but I know it was done well. The rims I can't really help you on, but my guy that paints my car had offered to do it, for a good deal too, just not my style. I'd imagine they are difficult upkeep versus buying black rims. Definitely a fan of painted calipers tho!
