Which wheel size for 04 GT

I'm currently running 17's but want staggered 18's and my GT is lowered approx 1.5 all around. Im looking at the SVE drift wheels or some DD matte black bullits. Will the 18's rub? Any suggestions would be great.ft

what year? I assume pre 05

18x8's in front and 18x10's out back will work great and give a noticeable difference front/rear

Most only make 18x9s though

18x9s in the front if setup correctly may rub a tiny bit, but not bad (just dont turn it full lock)

18x10s out back are fine, if you have a GT the quad shocks may hit a bit (depends on backspacing greatly!) but you can take those off.

For the front you want front spacing (rim width - rim backspacing = front spacing) to be around 3 inches (2.89-3.1 inches)

For the rear you want front spacing no more than 3.75 inches on 03/04 cobra, but for solid rear axle guys this is a tiny bit different (not much but a tiny bit)

for the 04 the 18s wont rub at all in the rear if you take the quad shocks out, heck you may not even have to take those out, just depends on the rim offset in the back.

The lower you go with the car if you drop it the more tucked in the front wheels become due to the geometry of how the A arms pull the tire in as the car gets lower.

So maybe the 17x9 up front and the 17x10's in the rear with some bigger tires? This is my first set of aftermarket so trying to dot hints right

I'm lowered 1.25 &1.0, F&R respectively. I have 18x9 & 18x10 Bullitts with 275/35r18 & 285/35r18 Nitto nt555's and I have no rubbing from my fronts at full lock. But there could be variances from one car to the next.

alright fellow stangheads....ive decided on the 18's....now the question is which style and color. My GT is torch red and these are what i have narrowed down and are in no particular order.

1. black chrome bullitts
2. DD 03 Cobras (black)
3. Saleens (black)

thoughts suggestions? I really think the DD wheels really stand out look extremely nice on my body style.

i have 18x9 front (6.1 backspacing) and 18x10 rear (6.0 back spacing) and fit is perfect, you will rub in the front a little if you do a full wheel lock (dont do that 03/04 cobras have rack limiters to prevent this from the factory due to oem 17x9 rims)

the rear quad shock might rub but you can toss those out
