18" wheels

Really wanting light wheels but having a tuff time finding anything at the 19-20 sizes that shed much if any. So as they are readily available I was thinking about dropping to 18's but I'm a little worried as these cars seem to look much nicer with larger wheels. Is the 1" really gonna show or am I being foolish? Also what height in tire to stay the same circumference?

Forgestars.. Either that or true forged. Even 19" forge stars are lighter than the stock wheels

They're only about 3lbs per wheel lighter is my issue. I was hopping more for about 10lbs. For the cost of them I could probably easily make that happen with18's. but will I be sacrificing looks by a lot idk that's the question. The nurburgring 20" are lighter then the f14 forge stars 19" and much cheaper. They were my first choice but as I go on I'm hoping to get between 18-20lbs max and I can't seem to find that outside of 3 grand for 19"+ which I don't have for wheels lol.

18x10 forgestars (same style as yours) are 21 pounds, that's 12 pounds less of rotational mass. You're talking about the same amount of weight saved by going to a lightweight DS, which has given people .1-.2 gain in the quarter mile. Just some food for thought.

If its for drag then get drag wheels and slicks, if its for track I say forgestars or another great lightweight and strong wheel. I sport heavy 33lb(per chase at brenspeed) roush 20s around town but on drag nights it's a drag setup.

According to LRS they're about 31 lbs per wheel. Livernois says 35 lbs per wheel. When I shipped mine they were 38lbs per wheel to ship. There's no way I had 10lbs of packaging. I would say between 30-35, more on the high end of that estimate. I never did weigh just the wheel, but they're significantly heavier than my forgestars. It made a HUGE difference when I swapped them

Yea just found a site saying the black ones were 30.1lbs but I don't think those a powder coated and that would add a pound or two so ill assume in the 32lb range. That's actually awesome news! Now I can stick with the larger wheels and still get good resaults...few lol. Thanks everyone for the info.
