Tires & Wheels

What is the best fit and sexy look for my mustang? I currently have factory wheels and tires. Without rubbing does 265 19 in front and 285 20 in the back.

That would be a pretty sweet set up. I like look of the GT500 stance and to my knowledge, you wouldn't have any rubbing anywhere. I run 255/r19 up front and 275/r19 and the 275 looks good, but a 285 or 295 would look even better, IMO.

Also keep in mind the price of tires. That set up you want is going to be pretty pricey down the road.

Agree. Gotta watch out for the price. Funny how the 20" are cheaper than 19"

Looks like you forgot to lower the car? Or the skinny tires cause the gaps?

I had 20" all around with 255/30 and 285/35. Looked killer.

I traded in my car, so almost everything I had on her I'm selling... Including a complete Bassani Exhaust system. LT Headers, High Flow Catted x-pipe to cat-back.

But this staggered set up looks sick.

do forged wheels actually make a difference in performance?

Dont think the rims have anything to do with performance, or handling, unless you go from steel rims to one-piece alloy which saves you some weight.

Tires, on the other hand, add to handling depending on the types of rubber compound.

Get forgestars.
They have terrible customer service, but I'm sure if you get them through AM you'll be fine!
I've got 18x9/11. I'm running 1/4" spacers in the back because the wheel (yes wheel) rubbed against some knob. If it was lowered I don't think I'd have that problem.
Anyways, here are pics, enjoy

Ps excuse the dirtiness
The gloss is a b**ch to keep clean
