Matte black fr500s on a 2012?

Well I sold my 2013 gt500 replicas I had on my 2012 because I had a good offer on them and I saw something I like much better. What I saw was a 09 GT that was black that had 18x10 fr500s (that had been hydro dipped in carbon fiber with a gloss black lip) with 315s on the back. I was looking into getting forged wheels made and I had lined up a deal on some custom wheels but at $600+ per wheel I decided I'd rather get something beefier than some 275s on some 19" replicas or $600+ wheels. My mind keeps goin back to that black GT and I'm thinking I could run some staggered matte black fr500s staggered in 18x9/10 and slap some 315s out back. How would this combo look on a 2010+? I'm having trouble deciding on those or just getting sve drifts and trying to do the same. My only issue is loving that deep dish look.. What do you guys think? I attached pictures of what they will go on

I like the idea of the fr500s on it. I've been considering them for my 2012

Honestly I think fr500s belong on 94-04s and 05-14 should have a five spoke wheel. That's just me though.

Or like you said the sve drifts look good on 05 up and not 94-04. I say go for the sve!

Yeah they look so awesome on the 05-09s with some fat tires. I can imagine that would carry over. I found a good pic of what I'm talking about I'm going to post here in a sec

Yeah I used to think the same way until I saw them in person. I love the drifts but they have no depth to them. I am a huge fan of the wheel being set in so all you see is a huge tire back there unless you look from the side.

I think it looks great! They're definitely not something I've seen on an s197 before. I say go for it
