Is it ok to have these wheeles?

Hey guys wanted to get some opinions. I feel it's wrong to put a cobra bumper on a V6 or the cobra R spoiler on a non cobra R. But for rims, whats the unwritten rule. I'm going to need tires real soon, and looking at AM for a whole tire\rim package.would it be wrong to put the saleen or fr500 on a 2000 GT.

No, put whatever wheels, bumpers, & spoilers you want on your car. It's yours.

this....

why in the world would it be wrong to put a cobra bumper on a v6 or cobra R spoiler on a non cobra R? by that logic 98% of us need to take off our mach chins, and grill deletes...or my fog lights because they are for a GT.

build your car however you want...you want saleens go for it they look awesome...you want a full cobra body go for it they are the best looking kit out there.

In my opinion if the cobra rear bumper is shaved its completly acceptable badges (even though i have two) is a diffrent thing my friend thats not cool but bumpers and scoops n hood u can put cobra salleen anything except spoilers that stay stock. Wheels aswell just dont call it something it isn't and dont misbadge it

You make one hell of a sixxer, that looks damn nice. I understand where you come from. I just don't want to offend people who have the real cobras, and Shelby's. I'm currently looking into the chin spoiler. Seems like an awesome appearance mod for 60 bucks

if they are real mustang fanatics they won't care what you do because they should love the car for what it is...the only time you hear grief is from stubborn guys that really have no friends in the mustang world, but own mustangs lol.

in the end screw what others think. you have to see the car daily believe me if you mod your car and you like how it turns out...chances are others will too

a sanding block to smooth it out the best you can. my wheels are torq thrust wheels...which is what the GT bullets are based off of

Do you think it's possible to sand blast the rims and powder coat them?

Excuse my ignorance but does powder coating stick to alloy rims? And are mine alloy. Yes I feel stupid for asking this. If this is the case I'm going to get a powder coating kit from Eastwood tomorrow :0

you'll be fine...the heating process should get nowhere close to the range needed to damage the alloys temper. i see alloy wheels done a lot on drift cars

The way I see it, if you have the same outfit as your favorite celebrity, does that mean you WANT TO BE them? It'd be different if you put badges on your car claming it's something it's not..

I'd go as far as putting a saleen body kit on my car just because I like the way it looks. I wouldn't dare badge it as it's something it isn't, though.

I really like the saleen body kit, thought about doing it to mine. However I just don't think it would look right with a gt badge on the back lol

why not? the GT badge would have no mix up with a saleen rear. i've seen it done before and looks great. you could always get a shaved saleen rear if you're really that worried. but just remember all real saleens started life as a GT

Like putting cobra emblems on a v6 is a no no

If u still want to.. Who cares still ur car go for it lol

Well it's the same thing as s197's with a GT 350 style side stripe, as long as you're not dumb enough to put a "GT 350" on your s197 then everything is kosher lol

I have cobra wheels on my GT. Like everyone else said as long as you don't put different badges or have it say something that it isn't. Like a cobra bumper that says cobra you're fine. It should look sweet!
