Widest tire on stock rim?

What's the widest tire I can put on my stock rim without any problems?

I'm not lowered. And I'm not sure of the rim size. It's the stock rims on a 2001 gt

Should be 17x9 all around.. That's what mine was. Are you asking what's the biggest size tire is for those rims, or do you plan on getting new rims in the future?

They're 17X8 if it's the stock wheel. Safely you can run up to a 255/40R17 or you can try fitting a 275/40 if you can find a shop dumb enough to allow you to do that.

Stock is 17x8, the MAX would be 275s, recommended is 245-255
