Backspacing

Looking for some winter wheels. Found a set of 16" steelies (not my first pic but functional and cheap) that are 6.5" wide with +38 back spacing. My current wheels are 17x9 & 17x10 w/ +20mm back spacing. If I get these rims they will have 225-55/16 blizzaks on them. Can anyone tell me if they will fit?

That's like drag wheels fronts size. Like the runners.

Not quite that small....they are actually almost the same size as factory gt wheels. My question is on backspacing. This deal could land me winter tires and rims (blizzak tires with 80% tread) for $100. The question is if they will fit. I know they are smaller, I know they are ugly steel wheels. IF I HAD A CHOICE I would not be driving it...

It appears that they will fit. Both tire sizes are almost the same height (0.1 ") difference. With the backspacing the 16" rims are 1" shorter in distance from the bolt face only stick out 1 3/4" from the bolt face out. The 16" tires are about 3/4" narrower, therefore there should not be any interference on the inside rubbing nor on the fender rubbing. You should have an extra 1 3/8" clearance on the inside and an extra 2 7/8" clearance on the outside by the fender.

Thank you! However, I just got a call from my mother-in-law. Apparently she bought my wife a car to at least use.....so I may not even be driving her this winter...
