Tire size help !! - Mustang Evolution

Tire size help !!

Just picked up some gt500 style rims, size 19x8.5 all around,, Im looking to buy some tires on Cyber Monday, Im a total noob on tire size, I know AM recommended 245/45/19 I feel like thats too much tire judging of pictures lol looking for tire thickness like the picture below

Usually its +30mm per inch. On my 8" it had 245s, now my 9" have 275s. I would say 255-275s for an 8.5".

Are you talking about sidewall thickness?

Short explanation of tire size - first number is tread width in millimeters (divide by 25.4 to get inches), second number is sidewall height as a percentage of width (110.5 mm in this case) and third number is wheel diameter. If you want a shorter sidewall, go to a 35 or 40 series tire.

You can always shop around on Tire Rack and then find something similar on AM. Tire Rack does a great job of making it easy for someone who has no idea, and you can always call they're customer service line too if you have questions, they're very helpful.
