Michelin Super Sport vs. Continental DW vs Nitto NT555

Read good reviews on all three tires. Nitto's are a bit less expensive, but which max performance tire would you go with of the three and why. 255/40/19 front 275/40/19 rear. Pirelli PZero - bad grip/poor wear ready to ditch them

Never tried any but the Nitto 555. They run narrow so get like an extra 1-2 size wider.

My 285/30/20 Nittos are more like 265-275.

---------- Post added at 12:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:43 PM ----------

Forgot my review.

Nitto 556s are:

1.) Good to great straight line performers (8.5)
2.) Decent to good corner performers (8.5)
3.) Good to great breaking (8.5)

The tires are running narrow so not ideally the perfect fit on my rims at this time.

In corners, because the side walls aren't exactly perpendicular to the ground the limit grip on corners are less ideal than a better fitting tire.

So I think if there were better fitting 555s then the care may perform better but still a hell of a lot better than the stock Pirellis.

Honestly, if you're thinking of those tires, have a look at fallen fk 452 or 453 (kinda the same tire just updates I think) or the fallen rt615. Seriously awesome tires. The 615 being the better performer. If you wanted more life, I would get the bfg geforce sport comp 2. Pass on the Nittos imo.

The continental dw was OK, but it had one hell of a sloppy side wall. They felt floaty at high speed and initial turn in wasn't anywhere near as sharp as I like. I have Street driven and auto crossed all these tires. If I wanted max grip, Def the 615 (200 tread wear, mean looking tread too) if I wanted long life, the geforce sport comp 2 (340 treadwear) and the fk 452/453 for in the middle (300). Only tires I've really not cared for are the sumuitomo htz... They just felt like grease the whole time...

Good Info I want to put 255/40/19 front 285/35/19 rear on mine in a few months. Going to swap out the brembo rims too so I can get a 9.5 on the back to support the 285/35/19. I was looking at the Continetal DW and Nitto Invo but I'll check out the BFG's and the falken tires.

I've driven a couple cars with them... They gripped hard! But initial turn in is a little sloppy imo, and they didn't do the directional changes as well as the falken rt 615. But they really put power down well... I think the biggest issue was soft sidewall. They did ride really nicely. I would do the falken tires over the Mt, but wouldn't shy away from a good deal on the mickies...
