Tire size on stock wheels

Ok so I bought some tires and stock wheels from a 06 (bullitt wheels) .. I put them on my 00 gt .. They look too skinny on my car I was wondering what's the widest tires I can get and what's a good combination

Those are 17X8s right? Should be able to fit a 255 on them.

You also have to run spacers to make 05-up wheels fit properly on a 04-below. Backspacing is different.

I forget off the top of my head, google will know. But yeah its going to look weird until you get the right spacers in. Did you not know the backspacing was different prior to purchasing?
