I was told these are saleen wheels, but everytime I look up saleen rims, they at always the chrome ones.

Why do you guys think about plasti dipping them? The clear coat on the front two is sorta comin off so I want to paint over it all so it's not so noticeable. Plus my v6's wheels were plasti dipped

I can plasti dip them or try to find some glossy black paint, but that is pretty unforgiving. What do you guys think?

Isn't that a saleen logo for the center cap?

Yes that is the Saleen logo on the center cap.... Center caps pop in and out, its not that hard to replace them. Those are Cobra style rims though.

Yep, they are cheap and pop right in and out. They're likely 03 style replica rims. The only good news if you bought them is they'd be worth about the same $$$ as replica Saleen rims. Saleen rims look good on the SN95, problem is EVEYRONE has them.

You can google something like "matte black cobra rims" and get a zillion results. Plasti dip will hold up as well as its holding up for you currently. Just don't expect it to be as durable as powdercoating.

You Wont Lose Anything But 15 Bucks And Some Time For plastidip. I won't do it again I did on my fr500s and once they started yo show their age I took out off and it was a b*tch cause of the crevices and what not but with saleens or cobra wheels I'm sure it will be much easier

Honestly I think the plasti dip craze is coming to an end. Someone at my work dipped a WRX and is all proud of it. It looks like a bag of dicks. Already chipping in spots, looks cheap, IS cheap and now its going to be a goddamn mess to get it all off when they finally realize how ****ty their car looks.

I dunno man, I think it's the opposite. People are doing crazy stuff with dip these days. Pearls, flakes, combos of the two. I personally wouldn't dip my whole car. But some of the stuff they offer with dip is pretty damn cool for rubberized spray.

^^ there are some new plasti dip products out right now that you can add a gloss to the plasti dip to make it look more like paint finish
